Bliss OS brings Android Pie to your PC

This Android Pie-based Bliss OS ROM is considered the bleeding edge of Android x86 development. Starting with this latest release, Bliss OS will come equipped with reworked code from the Android-x86 project and the Bliss OS Oreo releases in order to make the OS more dynamic for the future, taking inspiration from Intel’s Project Celadon and XDA Recognized Developer phhhusson. These are considered development ROMs at this point, so proceed with caution.

Here is the list of known bugs at this time:
  • Packages Manager sometimes crashes the system. This will require you to wait, then open a terminal and use $ su && svc wifi disable, and when it comes back, $ su && svc wifi enable
  • Screenshots aren’t working yet
  • Video playback does not work right as of yet
  • Sound issues on many machines still

Installation

Perform the steps laid out in the following text in order to successfully run Android Pie on your machine:
1. Download the “.ISO” file and burn it to a USB Drive using a software like Rufus.
2. Disable all options that tend to boot security like “Secure Boot” and “Bitlocker.”
3. Boot up the USB Drive and test Bliss OS live in order to make sure everything’s in place.
4. Install the OS.
